Dramatic Garage Sale Experience!

If you know me, you know where I was Saturday morning- garage sale shopping!  But this week's garage sale took a turn for the worst- dun dun dun (insert dramatic music).

First, I got this cute white planter urn.  I haven't actually repotted my plant into it yet, but it should be a nice fit.

At the same sale, I also got this weaved planter.  You can't plant directly into it, but I have plenty of plastic pots to slip into it.  I'm thinking it could also be used as a cute baseket too.

And last but not least, I got this orange glass vase which has already found a home on my mantle.  My mantle is pretty narrow so I'm happy to find something colorful that fits on it.

But then things took a turn for the worse!  As I was driving home from the last sale, a safety light came on my car dashboard.  Luckily I was almost home and as I pulled in I saw that I had gotten a flat tire!  :-(  My garage sale finds definitly aren't worth the cost of a new tire!  I took the car to the closest gas station and luckily they were able to patch it, but they said there's a chance the patch won't hold and I'll need a new tire.  Boo!  Thankfully, I was able to get it to the gas station without the tire blowing out or anything scary like that.    So far the patch is working, but cross your fingers that it holds up!  Did you score any garage sale finds this weekend?  Hopefully your experience was less dramatic than mine!

This post is shared on Rhoda's thrifty finds link party.

Glad you made it home safely. I hate flat tires.

Flat tires stink, too bad you didn't find any "new" ones at your garage sales! Found your post through Southern Hospitality. Neat finds-- I really like that basketweave planter.

We're having a garage sale this month with our neighbors, who are getting rid of a much of furniture and decor - so we may end up just swapping our own junk! Love the planter that you picked up. Bummer about the tire, though!
