The crowds didn't stop us from having fun though and we went to Bryant Park to check out the holiday shops and see their Christmas tree. The Bryant Park tree was lit up with beautiful blue lights.
We also saw another rather famous Christmas tree...the Rockefeller Plaza Christmas tree! The streets around Rockefeller Plaza were closed to traffic to accommodate the swarms of people who came to get a look at the 74 foot Norway Spruce tree. The tree was beautifully decorated with 30,000 colorful sparkling lights.
It took workers 18 days to put up the Rockefeller Center Tree. Check out this cool time lapse video of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree if you want to watch what 18 days of work looks like in one minute! I really enjoyed seeing New York dressed for the Holidays! What holiday events are going on in your neck of the woods?
