I'm back with another Christmas decor scheme today (check out my white Christmas decor ideas if you missed them last week).  Today, I'm taking a blast to the past to feature vintage inspired Christmas decor ideas.  I love the fun look and festive colors of retro holiday decor from the 40s, 50s, and 60s .  Here are some ways you can achieve a vintage Christmas decor look.

White and aluminum, or even pastel pink, artificial Christmas trees are the epitome of vintage holiday decor.  Of course if a traditional green Christmas tree is more up your alley, you can still achieve a vintage look by dressing it with silver tinsel and garland and by adding vintage inspired ornaments and lights (like these or these).

Aside from your tree, a retro Christmas look can be achieved with a fun wreath like one made from vintage ornaments or a mod glass ball wreath.  A glittery mantle display with fake snow and vintage little elves is another beautiful, but fun retro look.

Christmas decor from  the 50s and 60s used a lot of sparkle and tinsel which is easy to recreate and add to your existing decor with small touches like this pretty tinsel mini tree.  And for a 40s look, I think a leg lamp is essential to your decor!
