DIY Gift Card Holder

Let's face it, gift cards aren't the most personal gifts but they're easy and people love getting them. To add a little personal touch to gift cards, I make my own felt gift card holders. They are a breeze to make and add a personal feeling to what can sometimes seem like an impersonal gift.

To make my own gift card holders, I bought a pack of felt half-sheets at the Dollar Store and cut them in half to leave just a little wiggle room around the sides of a gift card.

Next, I folded the felt over the gift card so only the top off it showed. I used hot glue on each side to secure the felt.

To add a little pizazz to the gift card holder, I cut small slits on both sides of the felt and weaved a pretty red ribbon through it.

The ribbon looks pretty on both sides of the gift card holder.


I made a second gift card holder too, this time decorating it with a red Santa hat I cut out of felt and a pom-pom.


To seal this holder, I cut two small holes in the front of it and tied a ribbon to secure it.

I think these gift card holders add a little festive fun!
