When I tell people that I live in New Jersey I usually get a lot of groans, mock fist pumps, and questions about my favorite brands of spray tan and track suits. Well, I can assure you that I don't fist pump and have never spray tanned (and no comment on the track suits, other than saying that if you're not draping yourself in velvet, you're missing out).
The real New Jersey is actually much more serene and I feel really lucky to live within driving distance of this:
Over the weekend, we took a trip to Ocean City, NJ to enjoy the beach and the boardwalk. I took some photos and then used Picnik to make them look vintage.
A lot of the restaurants and shops on the boardwalk are decades and decades old, so these pictures let me imagine what the boardwalk must have looked like 50 years ago.
It was a very relaxing day and now I can't wait to go back! Have you made it to a beach this summer?
